I am interested in your homes, can I visit?

If you are interested in our services we encourage you to visit and sample the atmosphere and assess our services and facilities.

Often day care is arranged on a regular weekly basis, while waiting for a vacancy. This enables residents to familiarise themselves with our staff and their fellow residents and to adjust to their new environment.

Is there a trial period?

A months trial period is always given before residents take up permanent residence. Again this allows both Grove Care and the resident to evaluate whether, they are happy in their new home and that Grove Care is able to respond to all the resident’s individual needs.

What is a Care Plan?

To ensure the level of care offered to our residents meets their every need, a care plan is devised.

A comprehensive assessment forms the basis of a structured individual care plan that details, not just the person’s daily needs, but sets out any active treatment and rehabilitation the person may require.

Once in place, the care plan is regularly reviewed to ensure the person is responding well to its recommendations and to update it to reflect any changes in the person’s status or care requirements. Any amendments to the plan are authorised by a senior carer and certain amendments require the authorisation of the resident’s GP.

Family and friends are encouraged to participate in the daily routine, as far as is practicable, and are invited to regular care reviews. The people we care for and their relatives are always welcome to chat with a member of the care team, should they have any concerns or comments.

What entertainment and activities are available?
