Service Quality

Ensuring the quality of our services is very important to us to make sure that the care we provide is of the highest quality. We do this in several ways.

Every year we send questionnaires to all the people who live at The Grove or the person who represents them.

The QAS questionnaire was developed to assess our performance across key areas of the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, including :-

  • Respecting and involving people who use services
  • Care and welfare of people who use services
  • Meeting nutritional needs
  • Safeguarding people who use services from abuse
  • Cleanliness and infection control
  • Management of medicines
  • Safety and suitability of premises
  • Requirements relating to workers
  • Staffing
  • Assessing and monitoring the quality of service provision
  • Complaints
  • Management and administration

We also provide people with the opportunity to provide written comments and feedback.

The findings of this report will be used to further develop and shape an action plan for the next 12 months to ensure that we continually improve our service.

Open Door Policy

We encourage all people who live at The Grove to discuss any issues they may have directly with the Manager. We believe that good, open communication is the key to ensuring that we provide an excellent service.

Regular Review Meetings

We hold regular care review, these offer a great opportunity for the people who live with us to discuss in detail the care that we are providing as well as any specific issues that they may have.

Comments Book, suggestion box, email and this website are other ways that people are able to feedback their views on our service.

Care Quality Commission

The Grove, as well as all elderly care providers, is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). CQC are the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They regulate care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. They aim to make sure that better care is provided for everyone in hospitals, care homes and people’s own homes.
