FAQs

Grove Care is committed to offering value for money, keeping fees affordable whilst providing the highest quality of care and level of service.

Our fees vary depending on the care requirements and individual needs of the person. Please contact us for more information on fees.

Before admission, everyone has a full care assessment, to ensure that all care needs can be met. At this point we are able to advise of the fee structure applicable to their needs and circumstances.

Depending on individual financial situations, a person can either pay their fees privately or may be eligible to have all or part of their fees funded by social services and the NHS.

The current rules can be complicated and specific advice is available from the senior care team at Grove Care.

Day Care can be arranged on a regular basis, while waiting for a vacancy. This enables people to familiarise themselves with our staff and their fellow residents and to adjust to their new environment.

A months trial period is always given before people take up permanent residence. Again this allows both Grove Care and the resident to evaluate whether, they are happy in their new home and that Grove Care is able to respond to all individual needs.

To ensure the level of care offered to our residents meets their every need, a care plan is devised.

A comprehensive assessment forms the basis of a structured individual care plan that details, not just the person’s daily needs, but sets out any active treatment and rehabilitation the person may require.

Once in place, the care plan is constantly reviewed to ensure the person is responding well to its recommendations and to update it to reflect any changes in the person’s status or care requirements.

Family and friends are encouraged to participate in the daily routine, as far as is practicable, and are invited to regular care reviews. The people we care for and their relatives are always welcome to chat with a member of the care team, should they have any concerns or comments.

We strive to acknowledge and accommodate each person’s individual interests, skills, experiences, personalities and medical conditions.  Our homes offer a wide range of activities designed to encourage mobility and, most importantly, generate an enthusiasm for life.

We encourage and help people to pursue their hobbies and interests and on a daily basis, for example, gardening, arts and crafts or exercise.

We also provide different activity areas in our homes for people to enjoy, including;

  • Sensory room
  • Arts and Crafts room
  • Pub
  • Record Shop
  • Village Store
  • Library and IT suite
  • Sensory Gardens
  • Cinema
  • Tea rooms
